Desktop App

Run the llms.py workspace in a native desktop window and understand macOS release signing

The desktop app wraps the existing llms.py interface in a native Tauri window with a bundled Python sidecar. See the desktop source and release guide for build instructions and available release artifacts.

macOS signing

Release builds without Apple signing credentials now sign the complete application ad hoc instead of leaving the bundle unsigned. This is not Developer ID signing or notarization. For an unnotarized app downloaded from a source you trust, macOS may still require explicit approval through System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.

If an installed app is reported as damaged, check the signature before assuming the warning is only quarantine:

codesign --verify --deep --strict --verbose=2 /Applications/llms.app
spctl --assess --type execute --verbose=4 /Applications/llms.app

Production distributors should configure Apple Developer ID signing and notarization credentials as described in the release guide. Ad hoc signing does not replace notarization. Signed in-app updates also require the Tauri updater key pair; with no updater keys, release builds still create installers but leave in-app updates disabled.

Choose your host

Use pip for the CLI/server, Docker for a containerized host, or C# AI.Chat to integrate the same UI into a ServiceStack application.
